Research Assistant
CATR - Center of Advanced Technologies in Rehabilitation
The Center for Advanced Technologies in Rehabilitation (CATR) at Sheba Medical Center's Rehabilitation Hospital is a unique and advanced facility, conducting extensive research in physiology, neuropsychology, engineering, and health sciences. Research at the center integrates work in virtual reality laboratories and a gait lab, and utilizes state-of-the-art sensor systems for monitoring physiological parameters. We are looking for a research assistant to conduct an experiment aimed at developing an application for fall prevention. In this role, you will work with both healthy controls and participants with clinical conditions that impact gait and balance.
Responsibilities
• Coordinating participant visits and scheduling • Setting up the experiment environment, including preparing the equipment • Taking physical and computerized measurements • Operating computer systems for data collection • Guiding participants through walking tasks and ensuring participant safety • Assisting with participant outreach (e.g., social media advertising) • Collaborating closely with the research team • Participating in regular team meetings Requirements: • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in operating computer systems • Excellent time management skills • Willingness to manage a flexible schedule* • Excellent English skills • Previous research experience (advantage) Scope: • The position is full-time, with the option for reduced hours * workdays may vary depending on participant availability and system scheduling
